On the face of it, MCC is an educational institution with 7,000 students in 24 cities. Generously funded (orchestrated by the Fidesz government), it is in fact a “socialization machine” that aims to train up a new generation of far-right intellectuals. With its office in Brussels and international events, MCC is part of the network of organizations spreading and popularizing Orbán’s “illiberal democracy” and promoting Hungarian/Fidesz interests and narratives. MCC is frequent host to the luminaries of the global radical Right, including Jordan Peterson, Tucker Carlson, Christopher Rufo, Yoram Hazony, and Marion Maréchal.
